ABBA’s “Dancing Queen,” Blondie’s “Parallel Lines,” The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Ready to Die,” Green Day’s “Dookie,” The Chicks’ “Wide Open Spaces,” and Lily Tomlin’s comedy are among the iconic sounds joining the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress.

Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden selected 25 recordings for preservation, including hits like Gene Autry’s “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine.”

The diverse selection spans from 1919 to 1998, representing various genres and cultural influences.

The public can continue to submit nominations for future additions to the registry.
