MADONNA RECALLS THE TIME SHE GAVE A THEN 5-YEAR OLD KIM KARDASHIAN A GIFT

Madonna gifted Kim Kardashian with several iconic pieces of her jewellery when she was a little girl.

The 54-year-old pop queen had no idea she first bonded with the 32-year-old reality star in the 1980s until they were reunited at the Met Ball in New York earlier this month.

'I met her years and years ago when she was a little girl, believe it or not,' the seven-time Grammy winner told Extra's Jerry Penacoli.

'She told me she was a huge fan of mine, and it was during the time I was wearing all of the rubber bracelets on my arms.

'I took off all of the bracelets and...CLICK HERE.

Schoolchildren joined by hundreds of villagers danced around pop diva Madonnaand serenaded her with praise songs on Tuesday as she inspected school blocks she helped to construct in the central Kasungu district.

Q & A WITH BASSIST/PRODUCER ANDRE CYMONE - LONG WAY FROM PRINCE, JODY WATLEY.

This summer André Cymone is scheduled to release “The Stone,” his first album in nearly 30 years.

Cymone has been jamming more than half his life. In fact, he was making music without and with Prince before “The Revolution” was born. The original bass guitarist for the Revolution, Cymone was recently at First Avenue to perform for Bobby Z’s “2nd Annual Benefit 2 Celebrate Life!” Bobby Z was the first drummer for the Revolution, and he also was joined at his fundraiser for the American Heart Association by other original members, Dez Dickerson and Dr. Fink.

Cymone answered a few questions during the sound check. The club was extremely noisy and Cymone was pressed for time, so...CLICK HERE

THE MOONWALK TURNS 30!

It has been 30 years since the late Michael Jackson first moon-walked across a stage. The groundbreaking moment came at the end of his performance of “Billie Jean” for the Motown 25th anniversary special, which aired on NBC March 25, 1983. Although he wasn’t the originator of the dance move — James Brown is among those who’d performed a variation — and Jackson’s moonwalk lasted only seconds, it captivated the world. CLICK HERE

BOY GEORGE WITHOUT THE GLAM

Boy George stunned with his dramatic weight loss recently. But as is often the case, he appears to be struggling to adjust to his new image.

The usually flamboyant dresser stepped out looking less than fashionable in a baseball cap, rough beard and huge Jarvis Cocker style glasses.

Seen running errands in North London on Monday, the 51-year-old looked very similar to the Pulp frontman, 49, as he ditched the gender-bending glamour he has become famous for. CLICK HERE to see more.

GO-GOs SINGER BELINDA CARLISLE

WORKING ON NEW HOME DESIGN COLLECTION

"Home-goods designer" was never a particular aspiration for Belinda Carlisle, the singer best known as part of the Go-Go's. But, she says, she was spending so much time traveling, and especially traveling to India, where she was surrounded by beautiful textiles and glorious colors, that she had to figure out how to put all of it to use.

"I guess I sort of had a knack for it," Carlisle says.

Her new collection, called Belindia (yes, that's a slight tweak of the spelling of her name), is being sold at Bergdorf Goodman. On a recent trip to New York, she made sure to pass by the retailer's famous Midtown windows to see her blankets and tabletop items on display.

She wouldn't have imagined it a few years ago. "It really started with...

A BOOK ABOUT THE MAKING
OF PURPLE RAIN OUT NOW
How a terrible script for Prince's Purple Rain became the best rock musical ever made.
It's been called the greatest rock musical ever made, the movie that launched Prince into the mainstream consciousness: 1984's Purple Rain. The semi-autobiographical story of a Minneapolis musician known as The Kid and his struggles with success, love, and an abusive father -- told as much through Prince's tortured swagger as through iconic chart-topping songs like "When Doves Cry" and the titular "Purple Rain" -- struck a chord with audiences and earned Prince an Oscar for Best Score to boot. But, as recounted in an exclusive excerpt from John Kenneth Muir's book Purple Rain: Music on Film, the film was headed for the rocks until neophyte director Albert Magnoli dared to tell Prince the truth about the film's initial script: "Well, I think it sucked."

Muir chronicles the history and lasting impact of Purple Rain in his new tome, on shelves today, from Prince's early quest to find the right film vehicle for himself to his collaboration with director Magnoli in making drastic changes to screenwriter William Blinn's original script (then called Dreams) -- a script that, Magnoli and producer Robert Cavallo say had been passed over by countless directors. Also included: What happened when Prince...CLICK HERE
